dear my beautiful mother, maybe now you not read this, but someday you will…

I will never be able to say it enough times; THANK YOU. Thank you for everything. I would not be who I am today without you. You fought for me, you cried for me, and you relentlessly loved me.

I don’t think i asked for a lot of ‘things’ when i was growing up. I like to think i was pretty ‘low maintenance’. i do remember, however, those times when i would ask for a little money to go with my friends, or going somewhere, wanna buy something or whatever, you would gladly pull some out. Again, it never occurred to me that in that moment you were probably giving up something you really wanted or needed for yourself just so i could have something i wanted. I see that now mom…

More importantly, you taught me how to love. In the times that i didn’t even love myself, you stood strong for me. You taught me that : “it’s okay to make mistakes, that‘s a part of life”.

I appreciate how you always worked so hard to show your love for us in the most selfless ways. I’ve several days of experience in the kitchen (lebih tepatnya karna covid-19 yang membuat aku gabut wkwkw) and i understand how difficult to make a good food and your dish so hard to duplicated . Your breakfast was always good, to wake up early to a platter of fried chicken along with ikan teri sambal, my favoritoo : sayur tumis brokoli, sweet juice and others — that was heaven. hope someday i can cook for those i love with everything you’ve done for me.
